 Richard
A. Beskin, CPCU, CIC
President
Rick is president of Beskin and Associates,
Inc. Since 1974, his commitment & dedication to his
profession have been demonstrated in many ways. Over
the years, Rick has served on industry boards, been involved
in insurance education by achieving his CPCU and his
CIC designations, and was instrumental in the establishment
of The Insurance Center at Old Dominion University in
Norfolk.
Rick is a highly regarded practitioner
among his peers. A past President of the Tidewater Chapter
of the CPCU Society, he has also been Chairman of several
Agent's Advisory Councils, and past board member of both
the Professional Insurance Agents of VA-DC and the independent
Insurance Agents of Virginia.
Rick is a 1974 graduate of Virginia
Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech)
with a BS in Business Administration/Marketing. He continued his postgraduate studies
at Old Dominion University.
 Roy
S. Beskin, CIC
Vice President
In 1985 Roy joined Beskin and Associates,
Inc., where he plays a key role on the executive team
as a Vice President.
Roy began his insurance career after
working for the Xerox Corporation, first as an Account
Executive, then later being selected as a National Sales
Trainer at Xerox World Training Headquarters in Reston,
VA.
A native of Norfolk, Roy received
his degree from Virginia Tech in 1973. In addition to
his success in business, Roy was honored by election to
the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame.
 Andrew
L. Dobrinsky
Vice President
Since 1988 Andy has been a member of
the team at property and casualty insurance, executive
benefits and risk management, as well as personal insurance
coverages.
Andy began his career in the insurance
industry as a claims adjuster for Liberty Mutual, handling
property, liability, auto and workers comp claims.
Andy is a graduate of the University
of Georgia with a BA in Financial Management.
 Deborah
Lindale, CIC
Vice President/Corporate Secretary
Debbie has been serving the insurance
community and a team member of Beskin & Associates
since 1978. She is Vice-president / Corporate Secretary
with primary responsibilities as chief operations officer.
She earned her Insurance Institute of America certificate
in 1992 and her CIC designation in 2000. She has served
on various industry task forces and in 2002 as state president
of the largest insurance agency computer management users
group.
Debbie is a 1976 graduate of Virginia Tech
receiving her BA in English.
 Ralph
“Skip” Ferebee
Vice
President
Skip began his insurance
career in 1979 when he started his own insurance agency.
In 1988, he went to work with Sentry Insurance Company
as their Virginia Marketing Specialist. In 1996, he became
the Virginia Marketing Specialist for American Hardware
Insurance Group where over the years, he was frequently
recognized as one of the company’s top account representatives.
In 2003, Skip joined B&A, Inc, as Vice President /Account
Executive.
Skip is a 1967 graduate of Randolph
Macon College where he earned a BA in Political Science.
 Daniel
E. Speasmaker
Vice President
Dan brings 30 + years in the Hospitality
Industry to Beskin & Associates, Inc. His career
includes owning, operating, and managing several
successful restaurants. Dan knows the hospitality
business and Dan knows the insurance business.
Dan is a 1969 graduate of Michigan State University
with a BA in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management,
and earned his MBA from Old Dominion University in 1973.
Dan has served with distinction as a board member of the
Virginia Beach Restaurant Association since 1985, serving
in positions of President and Treasurer, and has been active
in the Virginia Hospitality Association.
 Rod Goldberg
Vice
President
Rod brings to the Agency his 30+ years of experience in the retail clothing business.
His career includes owning and managing a large retail chain of women's clothing stores and
being a senior executive of a national chain of men's clothing stores.
Rod is a 1972 graduate of Ohio State with a BA in Marketing.
Rod specializes in designing group and individual plans for:
- Health, Life, Disability (short or long term) , Dental, Long Term Care
- Executive benefits such as Deferred Compensation, Key Person, Buy-Sell
- Pension & Profit Sharing Plans such as 401 k, Simplified IRA, Roth IRA
 Kathy H. Catlett, LUTCF
Vice President
Kathy has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. She began her insurance career with Federated Mutual Insurance Company.
Subsequently, she worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
Kathy received national recognition at both Federated Mutual Insurance Company and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for outstanding achievements.
Kathy is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with degrees in Business Administration and Accounting.
 Elizabeth Griffin
Vice President
Elizabeth Griffin entered the insurance industry in 1980 as a Commercial Underwriter. Elizabeth’s background includes ten years at Zurich Insurance and seven years at Fireman’s Fund where she worked in Underwriting and Product Management. She has worked with small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Elizabeth graduated from University of Richmond in 1979.
 Charles N. Becker
Vice President
Since 1965, "Chick" has been recognized as a knowledgeable and caring insurance professional, working hard to advise and consult his clients. Chick joined Beskin and Associates, Inc in 1985 as Vice Presdient of the Richmond office.
Over the years, Chick has served on many Company/Agency advisory boards as well as many insurance association committees.
Chick is a native of Newport News; a graduate of Duke University; retired Naval officer; and a resident of Richmond for 26 years.
His post graduate studies include atteding Oberlin College’s School of Insurance.
 Joe Antle
Vice President
Joe brings to the Agency more than 25+ years of experience as a senior executive with Virginia's largest media company.
Having worked with businesses of various sizes and purpose, Joe understands business and as importantly, Joe understands risk management.
Joe is a graduate of Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas where he was a scholarship athlete.
He also earned an MBA from Old Dominion University.
